Segas' Mega Drive was a revolution in games technology. It really boosted gaming in modern society. Previous attempts, such as the NES, had been great consoles in their own right. But the Mega Drive? It was a breakthrough. 16-Bit graphics were cutting edge at the time, and the quality of the games was some of the best, up to this very day! Just look through its' back catalogue, and you can not fault, the great masterpeice of Sega. Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Altered Beast... The list could go on forever. Generally, if you haven't played on a Mega Drive, what have you been doing?
